     Bordeaux is one of the most important wine producing regions in the world.

     Most of the grapes grown in the Bordeaux region are used to make red wines, but Cabernet Sauvignon is a type of grape used to make dry white wines with notable flavors such as mint, eucalyptus, and green bell pepper. The grape Cabernet Franc gives a wine vigor, tannin, and good keeping qualities. Merlot grapes bring softness and suppleness to a wine.

 

     South West of France is the most diverse wine region in France. It is also one of the oldest.

     Many varieties of grapes grow only in this region: Tannat, Manseng, Fer Servadou, Merille, and dozens of other varieties.

 

     The Beaujolais wine region is located south of Burgundy. This region is internationally known for its long tradition of winemaking with an emphasis on the use of the unique technique of carbonic maceration. It has also gained some fame more recently for its Beaujolais nouveau.

 

     This region produces mainly red wines. A good share of the wine production is "Vin de Table," but most of it is "Vin de Pays." They are perfect as everyday wine.

     The Languedoc AOC wines are very interesting because the techniques, grape varieties, and vineyards selected tend to improve their qualities.

 

     This is a region with various soils, and it is divided into numerous districts: Chablis, Cote d'Or, Cote Chalonnaise, Maconnais, and Beaujolais. The main grapes are Pinot Noir for red wine and Chardonnay for white wine. Burgundy wines have a velvety and subtle red sensuality.
