空大英語社組織章程
§第一章 總則
第一條 本社定名為“空大英語社”，稱“英語社”；英文定名為“OUK English Club”，稱“English Club”，活動地點稱“English Corner”。
第二條 本社之宗旨：結合愛好英語的空大同學，通過定期和不定期的聚會活動，來提升活用英語的能力，並增進彼此情誼。
§第二章 社員
第一條 資格：凡空大學生均可參加本社成為社員。
第二條 權利：免費參加本社舉辦之活動，有權使用活動資源及器材。
第三條 義務：1.社員必須於入社時，繳交合理的社費（每學期一次），以利推展各項活動。（103學年度第一學期不收費，所需經費由個別的會員樂意贊助）2.幹部應克盡職責，熱誠服務。會員彼此相助，相互切磋，介紹引進新社員。
§第三章 行政及組織
第一條 本社置社長一人，任期一年，對外代表本社，對內為總理社務。
第二條 本社置副社長一人， 協助社長進行社務，必要時，得代理社長和兼任活動組組長。並安排會議通知和記錄。
第三條 本社置以下各行政組，各組置組長一人，由社長任命和授權，各組視工作需要置組員若干人。一．活動組：負責本社活動之策劃、督導、執行與檢討。二．總務組：負責本社經費之保管與出納，器材保管、檔案處理及其他庶務。三．文宣組：負責海報製作、張貼等美工宣傳工作，及文宣工具保管。
第四條 社長、副社長於每學年之第二學期末，公開由本社社員選舉產生，任期一學年。
第五條 社長出缺時，由副社長繼任，至社長任期屆滿為止。社長、副社長均出缺時，由活動組長或總務組長代行其職權。社長、副社長若不能勝任職責，經有三之一以上會員連署，可予以罷免。
第六條 社員大會每學期期末召開一次，召開時間及其程式另擬訂。
第七條 本社指導老師懇請外文系老師擔任。
§第四章 本社活動方式：以英語為交流工具進行課業研討、交談、演說、辯論、小組討論、話劇、歌唱、參觀訪問…等等。活動方式以及活動主題和大綱，由活動組制定，呈報輔導處和外文系系辦核准後，每月公告一次。活動時間：A.定期：大面授上課日，午間12:00—1:00；小面授上課日，晚間5:00—6:00。 B.不定期：時間另議定。活動地點：經核准的校園一個角落、社團活動教室或本社固定活動用教室。
§第五章 本社遵行校方有關社團活動規定，受輔導處、外文系系辦及指導老師的指導。
§第六章 本章程經全體發起志工於發起人會議通過。章程之修改於每學年第二學期末社員大會時，以多數表決辦理。
OUK English Club Helps Us Improve Our English
My dear Classmates of OUK,
So many people study English and we all have studied English for so many years, but so few can speak it well. What is the problem here? Well, the problem is that students of English seldom have opportunities to speak up and use what they have learned in class. We have to use what we have learned, or we will forget. As the saying goes, “Practice makes perfect,” English Club opens a door to a world of using the English we have learned. In English Club, you can seek every opportunity to speak English because we are all encouraged to speak up. Besides, we have prepared-topics with outlines and details for discussions, dialog rolls to play, songs to sing together, speeches to make, stories to tell, and a lot more other interesting activities.
In English Club, you will feel confident and fearless as we are all classmates, and we are all English learners and lovers of English. We help each other with English as we are learning. Yes, learning English is not easy. You will make mistakes. We all make mistakes. Mistakes are part of life. No one is perfect. Everyone has faults. Mistakes are valuable experiences. We cannot improve without them. We hopefully learn from our mistakes. It is true with our life as it is true with our learning English. The more mistakes you make, the faster you will progress.
But why should we study English so hard? Why should we join English Club? Well, first of all, learning English is an investment. Undoubtedly, English is the most important international Language in today’s world. English is spoken everywhere. Also, it is such a useful skill. We need English to achieve success in different professions. Speaking English well is a sign of success and earns you respect. Furthermore, learning English is fun. We will make more friends. English is great for traveling. It will help us anywhere we go.
My dear Classmates, it is never too late to learn. I will soon be 65 years old. I am still working and learning hard everyday. I am a student of OUK like every one of you. I am very grateful to OUK for this opportunity for me to learn more and earn a degree. We can make it and master English if we have a will and try hard. In English Club, we learn from each other. Teach others English to improve yours; help them and you help yourself. Here is my pledge in English Club:
● I don’t want to be looked down upon anymore because of my poor English!
● I must open my mouth to practice and be active in English Club!
● I want to speak excellent English and understand all kinds of English accents!
● I want to read more and more books and be able to write beautiful articles!
● I want to help others learn English in English Club!
● Actions speak louder than words, so I must act at once!
● I will succeed, and I will be happy and proud of myself because I made it!
